It’s Time to Reach out
When you are searching for the right words and they are not coming. When that old familiar feeling of anxiety sets in and leaves you feeling unworthy. When you’re scrambling and have a case of last minute perfectionism. When that voice in your head is full of negativity and is telling you that it can’t be done. This is the time to think about your resources and reach out for help. You see resiliency is not about being tough. Resiliency is having resources and knowing when to access them. Yes, sometimes this can occur internally through introspection and mindfulness practises. Other times you may need to reach out for help from friends, an institution or coach to help you out. Staying in tune with yourself, so you know what you need when you need it is how you move from good to great. Add to your resources the Vantage way.
You are the Expert in your own life
The conversation you have with yourself is the longest conversation you will ever have with anybody. Wouldn't it be great if we told ourselves the words that would condition our minds and empower our bodies to get us where we want to go. Unfortunately, most of us talk ourselves into believing the many reasons why we would fail. What I’ve learned since working with clients at Vantage point, is often people need to get out of their own way. Yes, it’s you that’s standing in between failure and success and I know this is a hard pill to swallow especially with the complexity of our lives today. I also know that having the right mindset can help you to approach the challenges that get in between you and your goals with a more positive perspective. It takes doing the work necessary to recondition your mind to believe, feel and see yourself achieving your goals to begin to enjoy some measurable degree of success. This requires a plan and continually getting back on the horse. Starting my day in a space of gratefulness, creating a mantra and checking my negative or limiting self-talk at the door are a few strategies to keep my life in alignment.
